Don't have rapid...?

I just got spring today... The only game I have been able to play so far
is Kernel Conflict because I installed it with spring.
However in C:/games/spring AND C:/program files (x86)/spring I cannot find a rapid folder or anything with the name and therefore every game I have tried to play so far has not been able to install...
I found this to be very strange and I am really excited to play these games... Pardon me if this has already been answered before.
And yes. I re-installed before asking this.
Thank you for you help.

Thanks for trying to help but it just says "You need to have the latest Java installed" and displays loading screens.
I have already update to Java 7 update 45... I doubt that is the problem.
I have it enabled in my browser aswell.

If you are using FF make sure it isn't blocking Java from running. New versions do this by default because Java is a massive security hole and Oracle have a terrible track record for fixing exploits. There should be a yellow notification bar at the top or bottom of the page with a button to allow Java to run.

It worked for me but I had to reload the page.

I tried Chrome aswell...
I'll try again tommorow but this is getting frustrating.
I actually noticed I never got prompted to run it... Hmm. Other Java stuff works.

Have you tried joining with the lobby and have everything auto download? How about manually downloading the mods/games/maps from springfiles.com?

No, For some reason I feel like downloading spring 91 might change my luck. Oh yeah, and if this doesn't work I will be confused as I made sure to manually check the download simple spring-rapid downloader box.
But if not it really wouldn't matter if someone just uploaded the rapid files in a .zip or something...

EDIT: Actually downloading spring 9.1 did get me rapid... I hope that it is compatible with everything.
POST EDIT: Hmm... Does the GUI usually take this long to load?

There are the games"Kernel Panic" and "Conflict Terra"? I do not know what either installer contains.

If just displays two white boxes with "loading..." for longer than few seconds then it is broken. Something with being in wrong folder or something?
Rapid is outdated program and now longer installed with spring.
There is now pr-downloader and that is installed with spring. See here how to use it: http://springrts.com/wiki/Pr-downloader

tl;dr:
Are you on windows?
Then go here: http://springrts.com/wiki/Download and download the spring_94.1.exe installer. The .zip version is fine, too.
It includes springlobby, which will download maps and games automatically when you want to join a game-room.
Must be a bit patient because there is no download progress shown but the files are not so large so it should finish quick-ish.

I meant Kernel Panic...
That is news to me.... So far every game I have tried to get has talked about rapid...
I am going to delete all of my spring stuff and just reinstall it... I'll roll with whatever it downloads then.
I actually REALLY want to play Conflict Terra... I don't know why you said there is only two games. I mean what about Spring: 1944 and Spring Tanks? Or are you talking about ones that need rapid?
Meh it looks like that won't matter as it says it can download rapid games.
Thanks for the help!
So if I where to put a XTA map in it would download XTA...?
Meh i'll figure it out.

I don't know why you said there is only two games.
It just seemed like you had combined the names of those two games into one. I was wondering which one you meant.

If you really want to manually download games or maps, you can download them into the games\ or maps\ sub folders.
But generally you do not want to do that, it is only a last resort solution when (for whatever reason) the lobby does not automatically download something.
So far every game I have tried to get has talked about rapid...
Yes, some texts (like the Conflict Terra download tutorial) are not updated.
In simple words, at first "rapid" was used as name for the actual download program. Now it means more the "rapid protocol" which several programs/lobbies do use.

Yeah, OK.
I have a bunch of different directories for spring games...
I did get some games through the lobby though.
Unfortunately when I click start apparently (and this window dissapeared instantly) C:\program is not recongized as an internal or external command, program or batch file... Crap.
All of my stuff is saved too C:\Users\William\Documents\My Games\Spring\maps but it didn't generate a launcher for any of the games... Except Zero-K which game with it.
Edit: I managed to get it to run from the actual "Spring.exe" but I don't think multiplayer is working :(
Post edit:Turns out the game i tested is the only one that works in spring.exe. Most of them just crash when it says starting and the timer hits one.

Try posting this logfile after such a crash:
http://springrts.com/wiki/Infolog.txt

Seems spring can still be a bit tricky to set up despite (or because) of all the different installers. :?
