I just made 20 in sandbox mode and none of them got stuck exiting lab. Be more specific or make a demo of it please?

maybe the front or back was projecting into an area too shallow for the ship?

Hmm. Last game I had this was the west sea in ssm. Lab was facing north. Had it on other maps before as well, don“t remember what direction it was facing. I'v added that replay in this post. If that isnt enough i'll test later, no time now.

True history Klap. That happened to me on different maps, only with destroyers.

Not just destroyers though, land units get stuck in lab on occasion too. Stumpy I recall to be particularly common, but that could be just cause a lot of them get made.
But yeah maybe it happens with the Destroyer a lot more, I do recall that happening as well.
As to the cause or a fix, no idea...

Yea land units do this sometimes as well, but destroyers are easier to recreate the bug.

Could you recreate it in a small demo then please, or at least give time+coords? I won't search a whole replay for something like this after it didn't reproduce.

Here is a replay in which i recreated the issue. I tried all four directions the lab can face. Only facing North has the issue.

I made another replay. This one is without any widgets besides the BA included ones. Again you'll see that out of the four directions only North has the issue. The first two destroyers in the North-facing lab wiggle out eventually, the third gives up and stays in.

Thanks very much for the replays - I see the issue now.
It turns out that it's already been fixed inside the engine; with 94.1.1-693 (and later, but there are some blocking bugs to beware of) ships don't get stuck vibrating inside their labs.

Also happens with ARM.
