Every one on this forums has no doubt played a game and just moaned a loud "Oh COME ON!" in the latest inane plot twist in your latest FPS/RTS/RPG/hack fest game's.

Who here hasn't lamented the fact that a increasingly large number of games lack narrative at all (DS, DS2, Diablo 2 ext) and simply rob games of the best darn part about them

The plot

So if you could choose a GOOD writer to write a game's plot, say who and why and what the background for the game would be. And the genera.

Writer: ME! (JK, i really meant James Alan Gardner)
Setting: Sci- Fi (The totally awesome setting he made up, of course)
Genera: Puzzle/Adventure (we need more damn it!)
Setting: Read Expendable, and then set a puzzle game set to it!

I thought dungeon siege 2 had a pretty good plot, at least relatively speaking. Nothing to write home about, but at least there WAS one.

Genera: Pikmin meets Final Fantasy Meets Bombliss (look up the rom)
Setting: A space station filled with "giants"(normal sized people because Pikmin are tiny)

Indeed, FS1+2 had some of the best plots, gameplay, graphics, and everything else of most any game I've ever played.
