Problem adding trees with mothers mapconv

I have done as the wiki and the readme says... green 200-215, 1 pixel, on the feature map. No dice. It just doesn't add them.
Now, this is really annoying. Standard mapconv I can get trees but not grass
mothers I can get grass but no trees. Anyone wanna help me out with this one?
BTW compiling sucks hardcore :D Just thought I'd throw that one in there.

Hmm try various values in that the range I am not convinced that they all work. Also keep trees a couple of pixels away from the map edge or it will crash when compiling. You should see a ton of smiley faces and line saying number of features written if all is well.

I get the smileys, but at the end it says no features written

Smilies are for the grass... your not resizing teh map in any way areyou?? and your definatly useing the pencil tool not the paint brush (which will often give you a not full coloured in pixel)
Also, they must be in valid locatios... So the ground must not be underwater (although sometimes it lets you...

) and i think teh gradient of teh hill must be below a certain value to...
otehr than that... sounds like either human error, or somthing realy weird. And I thought I broken mothers MapConv enough..

Forboding Angel,
When I do the feature bmp I use m$ paint to add the grass,
trees, geos and custom features. I use the paint brush and
put down one pixel for the features. I use mothers mapconv
to compile my maps. Here is what I understand as the color
code for the util.
GREEN = 255 Geos
GREEN = 200-215 Trees
BLUE = 0 - 255 for the grass low number alittle grass , high alot
RED = Custom features 255,254, ,,,, 0

You might want to check sure that your feature map has the right size, because if it isn't that could potentially be the cause of your troubles.

I got it to work.
Appearently mapconv doesn't appreciate any black colors in the feature map.

Ok, long shot, but I dont suppose you have your featuremap upside down do you? also, you did replace your trees after resizing didn't you, as all pielxs will be just not quite there colour anymore.
