Final Frontier 1.18 (Website and first FF-map released)

what is Final Frontier? Final Frontier (FF) is a Spacemod for TA Spring. Nearly all Units are completely new and different to play than in most other mods. You command a Fleet of small Fighters up to big Battleships and Spacestations.
Features:
[] it is possible for most units, to lose weapons and hullparts
[] the special Armorclasses make it usefull (and important) to use different Unittypes. For example small Fighters against Battleships or Frigates against Fighters.
[] over 90% new Units
[] cool doghfights which you only saw in starwars before :D
[] cool Weaponeffects
[] Three Techlevels

It wasn't really necessary to post so many shots, Optimus. You could have posted links only, or upload everything to FileUniverse.
Other than that, great work on the mod!

sorry, i found a small tippingerror which made, that the slicers range now is 450 instead of 950
I will upload a fixed version after one game of onlineplaying (in a few minutes). I removed the link in the post before untill i uploaded 1.01 - SORRY for that

its going to become like AA lol with a divide among the players

Heh. I think there is no point naming the mod "Final Frontier Unofficial", since it never was an "official" mod in the first place. Just name it "FF:Spring", and it should be ok. And shorter. :)
Oh, and before I forget, look through ALL the corpse models to remove the black base faces, I think some Core battleship still has it.

there are 2 FF mods because Fang uploaded his. The point is, that Fang is working on retextured models and some other stuff like different weaponeffects. But he didnt spent lot of time in balancing, so till now its just a grafic update and not really playable for onlinegames.
Fang and me will work together in some future versions and so we will make one mod out of two. I think my mod as the base for balance, and his for grafik improvements. But this needs a lot of more testing and some more work.
I think this will need at most 2-4 more weeks and then we can call it FF Spring or so...
@Sean: i dont know how to remove these black plates.. fang will do that he said me yesterday, so ot will need some time.

there's a classic... only thing it needs is just little bit difference between the 3 teams... harkonnen, ordos, atreides
someone could do dune all over again... end it should be more like the old dune II than the PIECE OF CRAP emperor battle for dune or sumpthing
well chop chop start making the damn mod allready

Yes please do not download my version it is really just a testbed for new ideas/graphics that i can show to optimus...
However after looking at some other models and scripts I have a new idea.. multiple weapon systems... so I will now be attempting to add more than 3 weapons to the larger capital ships...

If you had asked I would ahve downloaded the previous version and added as much FF support to NTAI as possible.
Looks like I've got the first candidate for NTAI beta 7.5, anythign I should know not having last played the OTA version a year or to agao?

Do u want to put an AI in the mod FF? If yes, u are welcome, but i cant help u with that, cause i have to do a lot of other things too. Yust try it yourself and tell if you think the AI works and i ll check it out and put it in the next version (if its not to horrible

NTAI support for mdos si hardcoded.
I have not defined build trees for Final frontier, but I have for Arm core and TLL. I have little experience with FF though, so what to build and when to build ti in what quantities is information I'd fidn very helpful.

Posting that many shots is neccessary to grab people interest. Words rarely make people download mods and maps. Picture do.

OP (optomis prime) could you please fix the CORE anti capitol ship gun...the Slasher i think its called. It should use a beamlaser, but insted it fires something that LOOKS like a beamlaser, but isent. Its more like a really rappid fire laser, fired in a straight line.
Oh and Fang kicked my but in FF, so i guss i have a lot to learn. The light show was very impressive.

Hopefully in the next release.. or in a later release some things should be happening..
1. the larger capital ships (battleships, dreadnoughts, planetkillers, and possibly cruisers) will recieve additional weaponry.. so they have more than 3 weapons.. were looking at a limit of possibly 6-7 for the biggest ships going on down to 4 for a cruiser and so forth.
2. Ships will be retextured in some fashion as soon as we can agree on what textures to use..
3. battlestations will be changed to have 6 weapons like they look like they have instead of 3..
4. anything else we can come up with in the next few days
