Spring RTS Engine

can someone simply tell me how the heck you use this engine,ive looked up faq and everything else and there is no basic introductions to how to use this engine, ive tryed chat it connects, disconnects and says bad username password, ive already registered, ive try downloading the total annilation game, and it comes up that windows doesnt know which program to open the files with, im litteraly ready to punch something this whole engine is very frusterating and need help right from the beginning, using windows 7

Are you trying to use the login details from forum on lobby?
Those are seperate, create account in lobby. (no email etc needed)

If not:
What lobby do you use? As strange as it sounds, there are multiple lobbies to chose from, but all should allow you to register an account and log in.

Also what did you download?
If you downloaded from http://springrts.com/wiki/Download you got "Spring Engine (no games included)" That is for experienced players or developers.

Easiest way:
Go to http://zero-k.info/ and download their installer, which should be simpler to use.
You will still be able to play the other games.

open the battellist @ springlobby and register your nickname+password thats it! if you are online you can download the gamemods when you try to join a gameserver. delay your total annilation file into the spring game folder manually and it should work.
