Anyone know of a program to get the prescription of eyeglasses from a set of pictures through the glasses and not? Like I have a webcam and then it takes a picture and then I put one eyepiece over the webcam then take a picture and program compares? I think its called auto-refracting.

And while we are at it convert movies to vector graphics and then a movie of a 3d object to a 3d model?

This is like that instant conversion to 3d vision with a non 3d screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7-6vxsZydY

With mplayer you can output image files from videos. Inkscape can create vector graphics from image files.

You just need a 3d scanner, that's all.

Bonus point: you can also get a 3d printer to print out that model.

Inkscape to Blender
Re-Prap
3d scanners
Vi3Dim
scan3d Ironically the scan-less one.
All os scanners with red laser line based

Why do none use a 'tape two webcams together, take picture with both, then compare' like human eyes do?

how to get prescription of eyeglasses 101 with basic physics:
eyeglasses are measured in diopters, and come in steps of 0.25.
a diopter of 1 is a focal length of 1 meter. a diopter of 2 is 0.5 meters.

you can easily do the rest of the math.
