This bug is not caused by BA afaik, I think its engine/lobby. I get it too sometimes.

There is no infolog because when it happens spring crashes literally the moment it tries to load- before it even starts writing infolog.

I get these too sometimes. Not completely random though, seems I get them only the first time I play after starting the pc. But not always. Will try to think of copying infolog when it happens again.

Please read what other people told you to do (i.e attach the infolog).

Looks like bad GFX driver. You can workaround it with
MultiThreadShareLists = 0
in your spring settings, but some widgets/gadgets may fail.

I cannot really imagine that this problem is caused by my graphics driver. With Win XP I did not have these strange messages. After i reinstalled Spring, the Springlobby starts only time delay. Online games also need some half a minute to start.

I dont understand for example why Spring applies a folder named "My Games" under my Windows Documents folder? After the uninstall I deleted this folder manually. After a few rounds of play and changes of the game settings there is now a new map folder in this path. Suddenly I had no more maps available at Springlobby and had to copy all the maps from the installation path ... thats not new, Win XP make this too, but without this crazy anomalies.

This game is driving me insane!

what you can tell me about this?
Using configuration source: "C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\springsettings.cfg"
Available log sections: ArchiveScanner, VFS, unitsync
Enabled log sections:
Enable or disable log sections using the LogSections configuration key
or the SPRING_LOG_SECTIONS environment variable (both comma separated).
Use "none" to disable the default log sections.
LogOutput initialized.

Delete spring from your program files (x86) folder. Always worked for me.

If it does not, you could also delete Spring in My Games and delete the springsettings.cfg in Documents and Settings\XXX\Local Settings\Application data. Then reinstall Spring.

[unitsync] Error: Init: Required base file 'base/springcontent.sdz' does not exist.

-> broken installation

if you do no want folders randomly created everywhere you can also portable install. (see download page, instead of installer it is just a zip file to unpack to some place and spring will mostly stay in there)

portable supports multicore? seems not so- i can switch to multithreaded.exe but springlobby cant save it...

Then just rename spring-multithreaded.exe to spring.exe

What errors? For portable U need springsettings.cfg in the install directory with
MultiThreadShareLists = 0
