I rather like what the guy is doing. Taking the environmental freedom of minecraft and coupling it with and rts/fps hybrid in a way that looks very easy to manage. I am terribly impressed with it and wish spring had an animation editor like it does.

Anyway, I normally despise kickstarters but this one isn't big on name drops or whatever, it is just a clever game with an interesting concept.

like it or hate it, some of you might fight it interesting. I figured I would post about it.

Does cube terrain really do much beyond what heightmap terrain does when put into an RTS?

I find this hard to believe to... I mean.. this guy alone. Something like Minecraft+ Rts. Thats not ambitious. thats going towards megalomaniac... still i can see what you see in it smoth.

this has more then potential. If rts players werent so chronical short on time, this could become the minecraft of rts.. allowing for real creativity when it comes to base design.

I think thats the real line were the industry and the open-source world are seperated, deep down in every industry product, the consumer is something not to be trusted, especially not with tools of creativity, because if they could entertain themselve forevermore, why should they buy your products. I think if opensource-com would do a GTA sort of game, they would do quite well, cause those games tend to get better with every physic object, every location, every connectability (g-mod, just cause)..

What was topic again?
