Anyone seen any good operas or ballets recently? last good ballet I saw the the Hunchback of Notre Dame, it was good mostly for the music and not the dancing/synopsis.

Not a fan of opera or ballet, I am more a theator person. Last play I saw was the disneyfied beauty and the beast thing.. it was suprisingly well done. Glad I went, it was the last time I got to see a play in the saenger before katrina wrecked it :(.

I can't stand Ballet... but I if you haven't caught La Boheme yet you are living a deprived life.

Rite of Spring! Rite of Spring!

It'll totally change your view on what comprises a ballet. When it was first performed, it almost caused a riot!

Nope, but I've always wanted to see "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Swan Lake"

I went to a symphony with my GF, and they did stuff that you can't download online. Was pretty awesome to be honest, I had never heard a sound that shifted the soul quite as much as legitimate live instrumentals. Speakers can't emulate what went on there that night. Haven't tried an opera though.
