'Speed Boosters' do work. They don't acctually increase the ammount of data that your hardware can send/recieve, but rather it reduces the size of the data being sent and recieved. If you notice, they only say it makes surfing faster, not downloading.

pssh, maybe it's not the accelerators that increase your speed, but the embedded spyware
Don't get me started on America Offline though... Yeah, you can play Spring on it (I do, unfortunately), but it's still really crappy and has a super-annoying tendency to flat-line randomly on me.

Accelerators do work... they are just useless. High speed is the only way to go.

All they really are, are Super-Cacher's. I'll bet they take up obscene amounts of HD space.
