Weak points in persuasion attempts

When debating various issues I came to notice people resorting to deceptive techniques of trying to make their view seem superior. It may not be used on a conscious level, yet the result is the same. As an example I provide this set of words, seemingly regular:

Entitlement, opinion, fact, honestly, argument, grammar, art, integrity, belief, implying, troll, real life, admit.

Including their variations.

Can you guess how these words are deceptive?

Debating people is best avoided. Nobody is there to here your opinion, they're there to tell you why it's wrong.

It's not the destination, it's the road. There is nothing to learn from convincing someone one way or another, you gain more by trying to convince them and failing repeatedly.

I was about to say that I didn't think that saying had any relevance, but I realised that would have been debating.

6/10, you almost got me.

But you said it anyway. :regret:

To elaborate, I used the saying to point at how whether you actually convince someone has little to do with the learning experience coming from attempting to do such a thing. Which was meant as a response to your claim how debating is best avoided.

Once upon a time we enforced argumentative discussion rules, but stopped because we'd have to ban everyone. Including the admin/moderator staff.

People just don't have the type of training necessary to argue intelligently. Society trains us more in bad practices than good ones.

Someone should make a spring game that trains in argumentative skills (imagine having to argue with your lab in order to make it build a unit!). Then everyone has to play that before any other game can be made or played!

You have your entitlement to an opinion, but in fact, honestly, your argument has poor grammar, and lacks any artistic integrity, I have the belief and I am implying, that you are a troll in real life, admit it.

I like this one. Thanks.

Here's one in return, not related to this topic though.

"If we could read the past histories of all our enemies we would disregard all hostility for them."
