A desert bolide...

So while returning from Tucson late last night, I saw a bolide over the Arizona desert. For those of you like me, who don't know what a bolide is (I found out while wiki'ing what I saw  ), it is basically a big big meteor that gets into the lower atmospheres and is very bright. It's basically considered a fireball.

Sadly, I have no pictures (seems these things only get caught on security cameras and police car cameras) but this is a pretty good example of what I saw (google image search bolide):

It was blue-ish green, which means copper was burning off. Pretty neat 8)

It wasn't super bright like the bolides seen in a lot of youtube videos, it fizzled out only a few seconds after I saw it from the top edge of my windshield. Still, I consider myself pretty lucky to see one while driving through the desert at night. :P

I saw it too. Southern california, was driving east. I thought it was fireworks or a small plane crashing.
