SpingFiles Core turtle cams

I was wondering if the SpringFiles turtle cams are appreciated by anyone and also i want to know if they are shown correctly in all browsers.

There are 13 turtle units in total, smaller ones and bigger ones. Also they are of different types and factions. They are also build from different tech levels. The larger ones are experimental units, the smaller ones as dumb as peewees.

In April they will move to a larger map, a water map called garden-pond. From October till April they will stay in the inhome pond and they can be viewed by spectators.

Should they stay or should they go? Let me know your thoughts :)

I am aware of flickering displays for connections with a lot of lag to the server.

Nice comparison.
Yes everything works fine but except when I am about to download something it would return a odd error that it cannot display it and so on.

Are turtles your only home pets?

What browser are you using? I would like to solve that error code.

Yes, the turtles are my only pets. They are very relax and easy to maintain.

Where did the turtles go? I also used to have issues with there being no turtle cam after I start a download.

I sometimes watch the turtles, webcams in general are quite entertaining. This is one I check almost daily:
http://martingrund.de/pinguine/pinguincam1.htm#1
Its funny because they build the most ugly nests ever.

Though not sure if the webcam video should autostart like that, if you leave the site open and go afk it might cause a lots of unexpected traffic. (bad for people on trafficlimit)

I'm thinking more that the one time you're most likely to see the turtles is the one time you're wanting as much bandwidth going into your download as possible, and the turtles are competition.

So put them on a different page or on files <1mb?

similiar with the video on startpage, imo it does not belong there or should not autoplay.

The turtles are still there, but at 11.00 PM the lights go out and the webcam images will turn to black.
The cam streaming will auto-stop when you start download a file.

When your download starts, the turtle cam stream will stop automaticly. So the turtles dont steal bandwidth from your download :-)

As far as i have tested, the stream will stop when you start downloading.

They will move by the end of April to the outside pont. There is no internet with webcams in the garden. Now they can still be viewed with the webcams, but when the screen is black it will mean that it is night and they are sleeping.

Those turtle needs serious core logo painting on them

This is the EFF and PETA calling. Turtles need privacy too. Have started Supreme Court action over this serious privacy breach.

This is fun but it eats so much bandwidth... you forget to close the window and it sits there and wastes maybe half your internet connection :) Not everyone has gigabit...

Also looks a bit like a slideshow to me (firefox).
