Spring RTS Engine

I am Josh_sg1. I am interested in Sci Fi Games. I am a project manager that failed a lot of large projects. I know what I am doing. I know the industry is not simple to break into. It is a lot of work to do something and do it right and make money from it.


I do not know if anyone is interested. I am interested in making a Hawken Game. Hawken is a Mech Warrior like Game with a lot of Artist and Sound Effects with simple Game Features Design.


I want to make a USA Hawken. Hawken is all Professionals working with a Professional Engine, we should show them whos boss and do something greater than what they did as Amatuers with Unity 3d. I am interested in something simple. I do not know if I want to do it or not. It would be great for people to send your ideas. It is a lot of work and would be a simple project with a lot of art.


I would want to do all USA Developers Hawken. I do 3d and 2d models and graphics. I can do a lot of work on the project. That is, if we want to do it or not.


Features:

Simple Game:Simple Gameplay, FPS and or 3ps.Free to Play. Pay for Market Weapons. Game makes money from players buying custom Mech Weapons, player uploaded graphics etc.... A lot of other ideas I designed.

Advanced Game:Players can pay us to mmake custom designes for Mechs and Weapons with Physics and they can build and market their Engine Designs and Weapons and Ammo on the Player Market.Physics, Advanced .Large Server Map Environments.Effects. Advanced.

do you have absolutely anything to show? Your forum posts on the unity engine forums don't exactly show anything promising either.

You have stated that you want to be a "project manager". That screams to me that you just want others to do the dirty work for you. You said you could also do art, but haven't shown anything yet.

At first I thought Degenerated5 was in pure troll mode calling you out as a racist, but why "all USA" developers? If I were Korean you would not accept my work?

The other thing is the central concept: People design mechs, then you (et al.) make them ingame and then send them a "design plan" so they can make or trade their mech? What constitutes a design? "it wud b cool 2 hav dakka dakka. lik warhamer. make a mek wif 10 macine guns all 100 caliber." -- this is what I think of when I think: design by the masses. I certainly wouldn't send the player a custom built mech design for that priceless idea. What exactly are you expecting from people "designing their own mechs"? Their money? I can certainly see that, but how will you balance the #requests*devtime and development cost with reasonable player costs?

Other things that drive me away from any desire to work on this project (even if it was the biggest most popular game evar and I would actually receive a fair cut of the profits) are:
* your spelling and grammar
* racially charged agenda
* "I am a project manager that failed a lot of large projects" (I'm glad you are upfront, but you haven't said which projects or why, which makes me wonder what you have learned that this project will be different)
* there is nothing substantial that you've shown so far. You have a design plan that is just about the same worth as the "player mech design" above when it comes down to it imo.

Did Petah get hacked? I don't understand. There's a legion of stupid points made in that post, somebody lock this before it people start taking it seriously. If somebody can prove the OP is legit I'll quite happily highlight everything silly in it.

FYI I made that lengthy response because I was stuck at school...

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't really get the point of hacking into someones account to post something like this. But it also strikes me as rather odd looking through Petah's previous posts: grammar, capitalization, spelling are all different, so obviously something happened.

Maybe he was posting it for humor value?

Although that post's more depressing than it is funny.

My idea is a shooter, with just one level, three weapons, and only slightly altered player-physics.

How that is brilliant? How this can win?
Well, for once, the players will be able to do a "hunt-jump" with there right-mouseclick, enabling them to do suprise-attacks, while sailing through the air.

Wait till i get going. Where was I, oh, yes there are three weapons in my sky-castle-game, one beeing a sniper, you must hold leftmousekey to charge it up, using the "jump-energy" to fire.
Has been done allready? Curse it, this way im going to loose, having to do your game...
There is a second gun, i call the exponential, it starts firing one bullet per halfsecond, doubleraising the raisins-rain per 0.5-second.
Third... this time, its a rocketlauncher, whos rockets can be timered to work as grenades.
OMG, i see now, im clearly out of my league, you beat me, guess im not that original and that brilliant after all.

Oh, one last thing the level.
The Level is one big Pit with lava below, its played in team Games, were the home bases are on elevators facing each other. Am i good yet? Wait, wait its not all lost.
Remember the movie Cube? I ll take one of those Cubes, and i take the concept out of Tetris, banging those ideas together.
Suddenly, the team, that holds the flag on the highest Cube is able to drop Cubecombinations from the sky, getting points.
Now, look at your idea, look at mine, look at yours, back at mine. Notice the difference.

Those devs, never ever clean up in years, they just move place of operation if the mess piles up to high.
So here is a zipfolder, filled with dirty tgas, phlailing models, and horrible beginners code. DIS-GUSTING! Horrible!

I want you to clean this up, and dont forget to use the small eraser brush in ms-paint, to get into the corners.
