Anyone else having this?

For some days now (about some time after the server was notifying us that a new server was ready), whenever i connect to the server, it just ends up like this:
Image
- I have 2 PCs. Both healthy but having similar behaviour so it's extremely unlikely to be OS issues.

- Full reinstall after erasing all files in folder (except maps, but not paths, and demos) does not solves it. When i first tried to reinstall without deleting files, the updating one did not worked complaining that it didn't found a correct 0.6x version to update. Could it be that the game managed to ruin itself?

- When there, comands like
.join #Main
does not work.

Could it be the server blocking IPs of unwanted people but also blocking my IP (as a mistake, i expect)?

Hm are you still having this issue? Server was restarted and modified several times these days, but currently the old server is up, probably until next release since new server is still buggy, so things should work normally right now.

Try enabling debug mode using ctrl+shift+f6 and tell me what the server outputs.

It would be useful to know if anyone else is having this problem.

Hmm, didn't seemed to help much, though...

That updating installer issue is not cause Spring was screwed up. If you read the error message it gives carefully, it says 'Cannot install, invalid Spring version' or whatever, then lists valid versions. These versions go from .61b1 up to .65b1, but NOT TO .65b2. It cannot update and already updated version. Perhaps this can be fixed in the future?

Otherwise, I dont know whats happening with the client

Maybe you're using a hacked exe (one of AF's custom AI ones?) and the server doesn't recognize it?

I think i have succesefully done that in the past with other versions.
Also, if i remember well, since i was trying to reinstall an update without success, i tried to reinstall the full install 0.62b1 which i had, and that one failed too. I had to delete the files from the folder. And the lobby wasn't opened.

Another odd thing, i also tried my Linux instalation of Spring. Hadn't messed with it in a while but was already the same version. Also, the install is independant of my Windows instalation of Spring. Couldn't turn on the debug stuff probably because it wouldn't accept the Ctrl+Shift+F6 but the behaviour was exactly the same.

New version installed (update) over my previous Windows one. Exactly same behaviour.
I'm now downloading the full install to, once again, erase the folder and reinstall from scratch. But it is extremely unlikely that it will work.

Besides extra mods and maps i downloaded, there is nothing extra or special i can think of in my Spring instalations...
The server is a shared server, no? Could it be something that was changed for other programs in the server? Like someone changing firewall definitions?

Can you make it not work again? :)
Seems as I won't get a chance to fix it now since it works again. And no, I haven't change anything on the server.

Haha!!!
I tried it a few times already and everything is working fine for now.
Really weird!

Since you haven't changed the server and things work now, and no one else seemed to complaint about such, maybe it was my ISP going crazy. Or maybe not... Weird!
