Varikonniemi Red Stars

This is a "music video" i made out of video gathered during the development of my paramotor. Most people don't realize how easy, cheap, it is to experience a whole other dimension of freedom with a paramotor and a wing.

And Flying is not the only thing you can do with it...

Throw a match at the paramotor ski man and watch him explode.

fucking A man

Could you ski uphill theoretically? That would be the biggest LIKEABAWS ever, everyone going up on the miserly ski lifts and you just going like OH WHATS THIS ON MY BACK, A GIANT PROPELLER? and proceeding to go up real fast.

Yes it would be possible. I don't think there are ski slopes so steep that this machine would not be capable of propelling you or me up.

It produces 72 Kgs of static thrust so a <45kg weighing person could go straight up like a helicopter :D

Sadly i don't think any manager would really like a man with a propeller cruising among other skiers :D

idk where you ski but the most dangerous near me are the super old people on 1970s skiis carving left and right and covering the entire surface of the hill, hovering around the event horizon of catastrophic collision

this fan skiing is excellent though, i love the idea... i wonder what it would be like combined with a skateboard... oh wait, i already know, thanks ninja turtles!

Never ran into any of those. The biggest hazard with skiers I find is people teaching their kids in when passing through green areas because I worry about the kids and don't pay attention.

yeah that's a pain in the ass... or people falling over as they get off the lift

banff looks fun, are the green/reds in the lower right on the image paths that lead to the left of the image? it's hard to tell

i live in flatlands, the best place near me only has 700 vertical... but the lift service is very fast so it's not so bad (i just stay in the park/pipe for the whole day anyways so it's moot)

a better map when figuring out different mountains. Personally I LOVE lookout mountain but I cannot get panda up there. The black runs on it are terrifying so even if you do the green to the red 90 you still pass by the scary assed blacks. The view is AMAZING though.

(it is what inspired me to make rocky glacier)

Man that looks pretty nice.

My fav resort was this one:

The top slopes are on a glacier so they are very wide.
I miss having more disposable income that I could spend on ski trips.

Banff is such a beautiful place and a I love the refreshing air and feeling of freedom that you have while skiing even if I do still fall over more often than I like. :-)

Looks heavy. I will never Xcountry ski without this.

a pitty you cant lean back and create uplift, thus making it less heavy with every angle it has.

I think a person would just fall over if they tried to do that.

It actually weighs in at only 24 Kg! That is a good 10 Kg less than similar powered paramotors from some years ago.
