My new favorite TA strategy: Mass dropships.

Oh my sides. Playing in a 8v8 game, i try to get away with building nothing but dropships for my team and kidnap as many enemy units as possible. There is no greater feeling than sacking 4 ships or so to grab a sumo or bulldog. and then, on occasion, bringing it to a part of your base you don't mind the enemy to see, freezing it with air drones, then converting it to your team.
And when you do a successful commander-grab with maybe 10 or so ships... Feels goodman.
Even using dropships to grab level 1 units can be worth it, i tend to go for missile trucks and whatnot.

but can your dropships comnap other dropships?
And if you have a dropship, filled with enemy combatants and the enemys base is nearby ... will it blend?

wikipedia says original TA can max be played 5v5 so this thread seems but be about Spring. I assume BA because because it is the only game where you can freeze stuff with air drones. So thread goes there.

Hey jesus, are you familair with repeat and area load/unload?
here is a cool trick:
select transports, set them to repeat
draw a circle with ~
use area load command inside of circle
draw a second circle with ~
select trasnports
do area unload on the new second circle.
Build a few repair pads near the load circle
set factories to send units to load circle.
you now have a ferry system :)

This widget might be interesting too:

Just place your factory's waypoint where you want your units to drop and have some idle air transports around. The rest happens automatically.

Even better ferry system. Maybe I should make a video for this. It has some chili layout stuff in it but anyone can still try to implement it in BA.
