BA 2v2 Tournament

Hi all!

A 2v2 BA tournament will run on sunday (26 February) , I propose starting it at 2pm (GMT)

NEWBIES ARE WELCOME!

Don't make it over 2 days, people won't participate or won't show up then.

Only Sunday would be best I think?

Also elaborate on the "no combomb" rule.

Edited: The tournament will be single elimination, best of 3 games.

What are those maps and how are they chosen exactly?

IMO good way to have maps is have a smallish pool (5-10 or so) to pick from, each round has different but predefined starting map, after that loser picks anything from the pool they want. The tourneys with this map system have had the most interesting system to me.

Maps weren't chose yet so thanks for the suggestions Johannes! I will ask FabriceFABS to add these ones.

I will add some maps also, but suggestions are welcome :-)

Maybe some are a bit too large (crossing_4_final?) and some classics are missing but I like map diversity in general.

Wouldnt it be cool if we had some advertisement in #main for this tourney? Maybe a mod could add a nice multi-line advert for this tourney in #main? Maybe he could also remove the dead link to springinfo from the main message.
Yes, other games planning such events should be advertised there too imo. Barely any player reads the forum so most of them will never know about such events.
