That said, I'm not fond of all these designs for Optimus and Megatron that have all these angular lines, particularly Optimus. I've always thought that their very straight, orthogonal forms contributed their commanding appearances.

mainly has to do with optimus as a cybertronian rig.. thing is like a train engine(in game you can straight up run over people)

AC has been a big disappointment, every mech flies now. and everything is desaturated greybrown. It used to be just jumpjets. It used to be about choosing the color YOU wanted. Are they removing that shit this version?

Honestly, the Armored Core series is the one that hurt me the most for failing to live up to its potential. The first game was brilliant-but-flawed... but after dozens of sequels, it feels like they're thrashing about aimlessly since every game that fixes an issue adds new frustrations and tedium.

I'm really waiting on Hawken to be the Armored Core game that never was.
