... because talking to them often doesnt help. Explaining how to share is even a greater pain.
Make it so that the 1/3 of lowest ranks cant take?

Should be implemented mod side, but needs a new callin. There is none called atm.

I think it would be best if the engine take was removed completely, and replaced by an equivalent gadget implementation. This would allow people to customize it however they wanted, e.g. rank limits, time limits, only-combat-units, etc. The spring calls to do this already exist.
In the mean time it seems possible to block engine takes by using :AllowUnitTransfer and :AllowResourceTransfer to block transfers from inactive teams (likely an engine take), unless some flag was set (for gadget take). Not too bad really.

as long as they can still take when there's nobody high ranked around.
