2 Maps ValleyofDeath and ValleyofWar

I have two maps for someone to upload to fileuniverse

description of maps
ValleyofWar - A small shallow valley map, Team map for 2 vs 2 or 1 vs 1, 16x16
ValleyofDeath - A Mountain Valley Map, 4 Players, 16x16
I've tried to upload the small 8meg map but I get the "webpage not found" message after 30secs or so when I click upload

some how when i click the maps in the battlescreen it takes quite long to load the minimaps, i had this with some other maps as well
on valley of death:
- too small metalextractor radius ( now we need fields full of mexxes to cover the metal)
- Too much metal asswell
- White background is unhandy, when i zoom out and want to type someting i can't read half of it because the background is white. Well maybe this is a GUI is more..
on Valley of War

different issue: these maps are big, 9 and 12mb, but it doesn't look like they use very intricate or diverse terrains. Would it kill you to bump up the compression a bit?

ok any suggestions on the metal maps for these 2 maps just remove some of the metal or a new metal map all together
and i'll recompess them down next version with the changes

here are changes I've made to the Valley of Death map so each player starts the with same metal at the start
I'll do a similar metal layout with the Valley of war Map as well but I mainly designed that map with low metal for mexs

low metal?!?!!?!?!?
My AI planted mexes everywhere so i was thinkign ti was an error, I searched and searched.
Then I looked and saw that each mex placed on the black was actually giving out 1-3 metal! My AI was sitting on a goldmien and I'd hardly noticed it.
No wodner the necros built mohos across the map.
Otherwise this map gave me a nice AI game.........

WAY too much metal in this map. A mex should give out no more then 3 metal at the highest of the high metal spots, and a player shouldn't have more then 25 total metal to work with in his 1/4 of the map unless he has build metal makers or moho.
[edit] a total of 15 metal from local mex is quite acceptable

I've Fixed the maps
Changes
- increased mex Radius
- changed max metal value
- changed white background to Blue
- modified Metal map (removed excess metal)
- increased .sd7 compression to ultra
if gnome could post when he's replaced the old maps
then everyone can delete the old verisions and download again
