Spring RTS Engine

So I reinstalled my computer schtuff...

copied over my steam apps dir, validated my games ..

dow2, metro 2033 don't have proper sound.. not proper aka intermittent and like none of the voice acks in dow2. ..

spring, tf2 and killing floor all have proper sound

I am trying to figure out what the issue is, anyone have any idea?

You don't even say what your new system or hardware is. Have you tried the obvious stuff like updating DirectX and your sound drivers? If you expect any help you need to provide details.

dow "installed" direct x with it.. and direct x says it is installed..

the sound card is an old soundblaster audigy, which has the lastest drivers directly from the soundblaster site.

set to digital output instead of speakers.. WOT!

Yeah, you need to just disable digital output in the mixer altogether.
