Spring RTS Engine

Can we have an option added that limits player start positions to the map-defined startpoints?

Players can still pick which start positions they want in-game, but they can't place their commander anywhere, as with start boxes.

Additionally, this feature could be combined with start boxes so that players can only start at startpoints within their team's box.

How does that sound? I think it'd be a nice compromise between the total liberty of start boxes and having the players order themselves right for map starts.

Would be a cool gadget.. you have been looking for a project MK... and omg people could read your code and suggest improvements! THINK OF THE COLLABORATION!

There is/will be AllowStartPosition() in next engine version.
Also one would not even have to use the engine's startposition picking thing, so it is possible to lua it right now.
