i was in the beta and i have to say this game is just awesome. If you liked the older Anno-games you will like this one.
The Factions and underwater settlements are a good addition to the gameplay and the graphic is just beautiful. They also implemented a really good military part.
And to top it all of it got the new voting thing and a marvelous research part.
Personally I think its the best one of the series so far. Then again, that was the case for every new title :)
I really hope that this isn┬┤t the last one ( and that Ubisoft does not fuck it up as usual ).

anno 1404 just pissed me off after a few games into the campaign with this fucking guy with his endless demands. "Oh, I need 5 tonnes of ink".. so now I've got to load ships with wood and stone, send them to this one island that can grow the stuff and build houses and roads and irrigation then wait five months to grow the indigo then process it into ink and send another ship back to the guy all so he can write a frikkin letter so he can demand some other crap from me and do it all over again? FUUUU
Am i doing it wrong?

anno 1602 could be one of the best games of all time, if not frikkin bugs and few details >,>
this one is impressive... only that.

Played the demo, didn't seem that great, not bad just nothing special. Wouldn't pay NZ$90 for it.

I found there's some stuff that you aren't told thats critical.
e.g. I built my warehouse on the island only it was too far away from the natural resources and they were thus unusable. So I had to restart that mission.

in build mode, the mine-symbols start to blink if they are in range of your warehouse

Its not obvious especially when you can be placing the warehouse yet the mine symbols aren't within your field of view.

The spring bloom is terrible. It also does weird after-shadows on fast moving things or camera movement. even if spring had it, I wouldn't touch it.
now if it had bloom/glow like battleforge, I'd jump on it.

? that sounds really weird... either you explored the island, than the mines are visible... or you didn┬┤t... and therefore you cant build a warehouse to begin with...
Or I just don┬┤t understand exactly what your problem is. But for newcomers to the series, they implanted a very informative wiki.
truth be told: ANNO 2070 is a excellent time waster.
