Lava is still broken

Lava is still not fixed completely, meaning I can queue buildings on it, and F2 shows it can be built on. Instead, the fix seems to be some kind of hack that disables the build process when it's about to start. But this is confusing, would it not be possible to make lava behave like lava, and let F2 show the actual build possibility.
Look at this image for example.

Jools, it's because that "Lava" is actually water. The creator should have used voidwater and a typemap (that's all they had back then). In modern times... it should be redone using the lava gadget from behe's map.

i cant help it: I had to read that post of forb in this "grumpy old mans-voice"
"Back then we had to use water for lava. Not because water doesent get a solid if the game lasts to long, but because we were that poor way back then. Blast this Lua spoiled youth."
