Excellent move,

Let's add to the party

Battletech: Legends / Mech Warrior Spring repo:
http://mwspring.svn.sourceforge.net/

All other FLOZi, Spiked, Nemo random non-s44 side projects that went nowhere:
http://rebelsummer.svn.sourceforge.net/ ... mer/trunk/

N.B. @ Gnome, I am acting unilaterally without asking Spiked or Nemo. :P

for anyone interested:
I just augmented kdr's research code to do the following:
- Uses it's own resource which ticks +1 every 5 minutes
- researches item in about 1 second right now, will make instant research later.

currently requires the grts scoring system for:
Player during a game levels up, this gives the player a rank, the rank can unlock new research items.

both chiliUI but has script.luaui calls so you guys can use whatever you want.

the research grid is not tree based, it is simple code to place an item at a location.

if research items are not visible when new options unlock, "new item" will flash on the down button..

For those interested.. the gundam scoring code is GRTS_scoring.lua in the luarules folder. Tonight I will be adding the logging of units killed by each player.

So far:
deaths
kills
damage taken
damage dealt
xp
score

to do:
Units killed

For those of you playing with the svn version:
gundam tech discussion
I am working on the tech still, the next change may require 2 new units so do read the thread.

so 0.83 is out. Problem is, my main PC is out of commision. the only way I can get it to run is in safe mode and even then it is really limited.

can someone try gundam in 0.83 and let me know if it fails?

svn or current release. I am just wondering if anyone can spot any issues that I may have missed.

it is 83.0, not 0.83

i did a very short test with gundam SVN, and it did not insta-crash, and i could build some stuff and there was shooting. cant say more.

appologies hoi, I was unsure if you guys had settled on a naming convention.

hehe :D
that explanation makes no sense, as it was already released as 83.0. ;-)
not that i am angry or so, just have to correct it every time it appears, so the errors get less over time.

for people who want to help test the pre-release build of grts..

extract this into your spring directory.. run the .bat file.

http://www.smoth.net/files/gundam_prerelease.zip

if you already have rapid:
create a gundam.txt file
rapid.exe pin gundam:prerelease
rapid.exe upgrade gundam:prerelease
place the above in a gundam.txt file

save

rename gundam.txt to gundam.bat

run gundam.bat
