please next time post to the test-release thread:
http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=26656 :
"Report in this thread or on Mantis."
this cross-board references only makes things more complicated... (but still thanks for testing+reporting!)

here is an hd video:

Notice how they blink between low quality and ultra high quality as well.
video had to be hd so you could see what exactly is happening.

the shadows-bug was already reported:
http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=2451
i don't have the features/buildings on gunmetal harbor. where can i can download your map?
your steps to reproduce are also bad, why do i have to ask for every tiny bit of information?
i can't directly reproduce the broken shadow, i only have disapearing shadows in low view angles.

Cool

so you could not find the thread:
http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=21334
I spent a month to produce these btw.
or the thread:
http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... t=gunmetal
or the google search results which result in it in the first result:
http://www.google.com/search?q=gunmetal ... =firefox-a
Either way. Here is the link:
on springfiles
abma wrote:your steps to reproduce are also bad, why do i have to ask for every tiny bit of information?
I didn't give steps
I cannot read your mind. you ask and I answer them no matter how insignificant I may find the question. I supply each time directly what you ask of me. I would KILL to get people giving me such feedback. I generally get "it doesn't work" and that is all. You are not confusing me with someone else are you?
abma wrote:i can't directly reproduce the broken shadow, i only have disapearing shadows in low view angles.
I have no idea what is causing the shadows to pop in and out of detail and to cut off early at odd angles. Nor do I feel confident in describing them. So Instead I show me moving the camera around on a widely known map reproducing the bug.

so, you didn't read my text :D i've the map already, but it is an old version without buildings... the current map looks awesome! :)
this is why i didn't search because i didn't know what to search as i had this map already... next time it should be written, that answers to the testing thread should contain steps, how to reproduce (if it makes sense).

I didn't give steps:
this is the bug-report forum, you responsed to a testing thread and where bug reports are requested...

that's really anoying, i know that :-/ without steps, how to reproduce, many reports are useless.
thanks for the report, let's see if kloot can fix this...
