Account deleted?

Hi there.
I had an account on the "Official Server" created through my SpringLobby. I eventually reached rank 2 (just 1 rank above "real n00b").
Then I stopped playing for around 1 week. And now I just tried to log in. After multiple "Invalid user/password" messages, I recreated my account (same username as before) and it worked.
So my question is: are idle accounts deleted on a regular basis? What rank should I reach so my account ain't deleted after 1 week of idleness? Or maybe was this a DB crash, something I missed?
If my account is deleted every week, it'll be annoying because my game choice will be restricted by my ranking.
