Need fragment shadow program...

Spring prompts me that I'm missing a vital openGL extention to show shadows. Too bad, I have no reasonable idea of what that extention is and where to get it, even after extensive search and downloading. All the extentions I know of are included in OpenGL 2.0, which I already got, so... wtf do I do?

I had a such problem with my ati card, I had to install the controle panel in addition to the driver.

That the extension is included in opengl2.0 does by no means say that your card actually _supports_ it.

I had the same problem. I updated my Nvidia driver, and I was able to get shadows. Too bad they reduce my FPS to crap when I activate them though...

Giving Spring a second chance, Stormy?

I wanna make glamour pics of the talon race. I've lost hope in the game fifteen parsecs ago, arounf the tenth suggestion of "Let the AI play the game" implemented.
And hey, look in main now... there's some bloke that want to scout with one button because he can't do it himself properly. Someone please remind me why we have LOS at all...
And Torrasque, there is no chance in fucking hell I'm installing the ATI control panel again in my life. Seriously, I'd rather go out the house right now and buy a Nvidia card than utilizing that utter piece of shit they call control panel. I've even sworn to slaughter every coder that even touched the code with a fire axe or an equivalent, preferably blunt, object.

Storm ... what ATI card, what extension , what driver version ...
and btw. Spring will crash using shadows if Tripple Buffering is enabled ...
and that one is not driver bug but TAS bug :)

Yeah, I know that, but it kinda skips the whole try-to-shadow-plz-thx-k-bye-thing.
I got a Radeon 9200 SE, which rules on HL2, but blatantly fails at Spring. Driver 1.2, I suspect... but whatever you tell me, I won't upgrade beyond 1.3.
