RIP /usr

This is kinda old at this point, but the comments are still going strong on github, and someone made his own little app to grab all the meme pictures and put them all on one page, and mainly because it still makes me rofl when I look it up again: http://kinopyo-omgmyusr.heroku.com/

If you dunno wtf this is about: https://github.com/MrMEEE/bumblebee/com ... ce6#diff-1

On Ubuntu, /usr is your user space. In windows equivalent, it would more or less be c:/users/<username>

So that would mean your my documents, your desktop, your pictures, videos etc, all nuked. This bug only affected people who tried to uninstall the program. Essentially an extra space in the commend caused the entirety of /usr to be killed. Lulz ensue on github.

/usr/ in linux is more like C:/Program Files/ on windows.
/home/<username> -> c:/users/<username>
in my eyes, /home would be much worse indeed.
you still have to re-install the OS of course, but you would not loose any personal data by deleting /usr.
