Free Achron Tourney

The creators of
Achron (time travel RTS) are holding a free promotional tournament for people who have not preorded the game (presumably to keep things fair in case the preorderers played online). The accounts are temporary for the duration of the event, it looks like this will be several weeks with a round a week.
I know there are at least a few people who play RTS hanging around this forums so I'm posting here in the hope that some people will sign up. These people would then be able to gain an edge in the competition by playing with those who have already been playing for a while

.
I'm not sure what the stance towards those few who have bought the game and have not played it much but would be interested in a formal tournament. The tournament is free so nothing would be lost by creating a duplicate account.
First 500 signups considered, 100 people tournament, 2 days to enter.

I signed up and I have no idea how to play. Quick, give me the low-down on how to win.

Man, the name is so close to Archon that it's easy to misread...

Its basically comes down to a rush through time, who ever gets ahead in the past, and whoever gets misslead into believing his stuff is still existing in the future, looses. Such a neat concept, and then it comes down to the same rts experience in layers...
still i admire them for that experiment. We need moare heroes ready to volunteer for a travell through time.

Haha screw it, I just bought it outright. After reading through the forums and wiki it looks way too awesome to pass up. Native linux support is a huge bonus also.

Replays are hard to follow. This is to do with the difficulty of spectating this game and probably some inexperience with taking replays.
It is much harder to read the mind of a player while spectating when compared to a chronal RTS. The player may intend to not have done any action they do or they may intent to make the action permanent and there is no way for the spectator to distinguish between these actions at the time. The player can also jump around time giving orders which makes it hard for the spectator to follow, especially since both players are often at different times.

Haha, the loser of the final party travelled backwards, sabotating the tourney, leading to epic server collaps.

Well, I got accepted, but can't run the game properly... <20fps at start. They ran out of applicants with good machines or what?

rushes can be countered if you can get a chronogate up in time (just send units back in time to defend/delay)
