..and how does it affect the units' behavior?

Just a simple question as it is hard to find information about basic features of units on the net.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah, but when the plane fly over the AA, the AA shoots, doesn't it?

yes, becouse aa 'see ' it. every unit got LOS (line of sight) and radars got radar range.

stealth make units invisible on radars
cloak invisible for LOS

both, together make unit completely invisible

- Spy kbots
- Gremlin tank
When cloaked they are only detectable by seismic sensors.

cloak stop working after being touched and/or shooting/taking any action

Don't need to be touching, just be close enough and cloak sets off.

Does aircraft flying directly overhead still decloak units?

@ womb

Actually there's a tag in the unitdef called MinCloakDistance, you can read about it here:

http://springrts.com/wiki/Units:FBI

I'm not sure what dictates it if that tag is not present so maybe we are both right. :-)

pretty sure still yes, was always lol in ffas.

@snoop - i could be wrong, i just know that gremlin or spy can get very close to the unit and gets revealed after touching it. so u r probably right.

Thx for the many answers!

I don't see what the gremlin tank is like and may have missed it but I am certain that I have never seen seismic sensors in BA!!!

Well, on a regular basis I see units in my build list I swear I have never seen before too.
The seismic sensor is called something like "Intrusion Countermeasure system" and can be build (at least) by T2Veh builder.
