Freeze on Loading LUA Scripts

So every time I try to play a game, it freezes on "Loading LUA Rules", and stops responding.

As a side note, any reason it maxes out at 50% processor usage with a dual core?
Further information, I loaded up the spring engine and chose a game from within, without using the spring client, and it seems as though LUA fails entirely. It loads the LUARules and starts the game, but buildings build invisible, and tons of error messages appear.
