Spring RTS Engine

Hey guys, today i wanted to play a game with my friend, but we both get the error:
Spring: Unhandled exception

Spring has crashed.

A stacktrace has been written to:
C:\Program Files\Spring\infolog.txt

We have both Nvidia graphics cards and downloaded the newest driver, but it still doesnt work. We wanted to play the map Supreme Battlefield.
If you need any more information i will give it to you,
if not: please help :D

please attach one (or both) of the infolog.txt files... because both crashed my guess is a Lua issue with the Game or Map... but without the log who knows...

Supreme Battlefield map is broken for whatever reason by newer engine releases. That is a very old map. On maps that old your mileage may vary.

What is the best map for beginners to play on?

That really is game specific... many games have "official" maps that work well...
