Newbie looking for OTA spring

Hey everyone,
Can't believe i spent this many years finding SPRING
I'm looking for a Spring game that complies completely with all of the OTA rules and constraints.
Eg:
-same units with original unit models from OTA (even if they look bad in Spring)
-same turn rates, firing ranges, and accuracy etc of units.
-same currency and time constraints etc.
SO far XTA looks the most like this?
BA also looks good but it looks like its gone down its own path in terms of currency and unit "performance".
Any help much appreciated, in the mean time ill be downloading XTA :)
Edit:
Oh and i didn't want to have to import all the original OTA units and "performance" data if i don't have to. (but i might, and then i might start remodelling/improving the OTA units that i like)

The only thing that comes even remotely close to what you want is hardcore annihilation.

dont know if it works in current spring and never played it.
There are 4 major -more or less -TA based games that are still played online:
XTA
BA
Tech Annihilation
NOTA
in order of closeness to TA.

BOTA could be right choice for you. Though you may have to play it in singleplayer because lack of players...

I did have a mod from somewhere that was actually legit OTA imported into spring, except it never got updated and now won't run on the engine. I also deleted it, but I think it's called "Classical TA" or something like that.

modinfo.tdf
Yar, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with current spring.

Classic TA was the basis for Hardcore Annihilation. HA was basically a bugfix-release of CTA. And no, I haven't updated HA to run on the new Spring - it still uses Modinfo.tdf.

spring cannot does not perfectly emulate the way TA is. There are many subtle differences that are luckily left unresolved. You want TA go play TA. You want something TA-ish play BA.
You want TA like all cool, 3d updated looking awesome. That isn't happening. The engine can only do so much with that ugly assed content and the true 3d cameras and things only help to further illustrated how very dated the models are.

Here is a not so subtle one. Units cannot fire through each other.

in SA units fire through everything.
Fire through friendly - All turrets and units fire through friendly units and turrets(friendly means your own).

There's always TA3D for the hardest of core.
http://www.ta3d.org/home-en.php
But I'd definitely recommend just getting used to the new stuff...

What doesn't it work with? I thought they corrected the beamlasers and lightning failure of that tag. Either way, HA doesn't use beamlasers or lightning (pew-pews work more like OTA lightning anyways).
But yes, the aircraft behavior is completely different, for example.

It does now. It has ever since I raised a giant stink about it (Basically I reported the bug, then they didn't fix it by the next version and I raeged and it got fixed).
But in BA no units can fire through one another. Acceleration and braking are handled entirely differently as well as turning and various other things, as a result, you cannot just plop shit form ta into spring and expect it to work. If you want that, go download TA3d.

I don't want to sit down and write all that out for people's idle curiosity. I am not sinbad, I actually have stuff to do.
