can i import a hieght map into terregen ??

is there a way to get my hieght map for my map into terregen ??
i know i can make one in there but i want the one i made in ps

Importing height maps to terregen is easy, there's an option right in the terrian creation menu. Terregen uses exactly the same heightmap format TAS does.
[edit] that is to say it uses greyscale maps with white being higher altitude and black being lower altitude. I belive it has a different base image format it uses, but it can be made to take BMP.

yea i tryed importing it. it asked for a raw format so i make it into one.
what size should i made it because when i import it it gets little scannlines and looks really messed up =/

you need a plugin that allows you to take a bump and turn it into a ter file. This has the currently listed plugins for Terragen. It should solve all your problems.

Wooow, didn't know there was a bmp plug in... I been converting to RAW files...
(note, if you are you have to save as non-interleve order, and change the terrain size to match the raw file (as raw files dont include dimentions in teh data!! stupid i know but hay)

thnx bro man you guys were alll awesome at helping me. i just mad the best map of my life.
once i make the smd and pack it into a sd7 ill share it with yea guys =D.
