Spring RTS Engine

I made a map with L3DT 2.9 Standard but I do not know how to turn it into a Spring map. Such as changing the file type and adding metal, geothermic vents and such. Please help!!!

export the height map and texture map. import them into spring map edit, and add metal and stuff. then export it.

What is a spring map edit?

You can do the entire map in L3DT, no need to use Spring Map Edit. Look at the l3dt wiki, there is an entire tutorial on making a map for spring.
