unit lag - Spring 0.82.7

I noticed some new lag with new version.

With many units in game units movement becomes chopy laggy. Every ~0.5 sec animations skips just like disk would be trashing. I have never seen this in spring (unless disk trashes).

To replicate just do 3 times /give all and then try to move fast ground unit like AK.

Kuros also expirienced this lag. I have fresh install, luaui disabled for this test.

What could cause these lag spikes?

PS:Pathing is much better in new ver though, kudos. 8)

I had this when hosting on windows.

It seemed to be at least partially network related.

I also notice this in 0.82.7.1. Wtih 2x give all i have 35 pfs, but units move choppy. Easy to notice with air unis, like every 0,5 sec some frames are missing.

This also affect scrolling, which is smoth but every ~~0,5 sec some frames drop.

With CTRL+B I also notice big spikes on sim time, cpu load and some other graphs.

Anyone else have this? I have never seen that in spring be4.

Not a game breaker though.

What do you guys mean by "lag" you mean choppiness or actual bad latency. Because lag is being misused a lot these days.

Did you also notice this on TMA-0 FFA the other day?

I think I got a memory leak in that game, my FPS went down to <1 rather fast despite having a normal CPU use. I think it might have been due to some kind of swap trashing caused by memory leak. Even after two computer upgrades Spring can still reduce my rigs to an unplayable state in some epic games.

I'm even thinking to buy a new desktop PC because Spring just seems to keep pushing the limits of my machine in big games..

I mean choppiness and also fps drops.

I noticed it on TMA-0 when we 3 had big ecos. FPS went down to 2 which never happend in prev version.
