We are working on campaign support.

Check a mission page on the missions site to see instructions on how to play missions with other lobbies.

Yay, finally, now we need awesome missions back :)

This new system is made to be more powerful and maintainable than previous one (you can remember from year or two ago). I'm looking forward to some fun coop or challenges like launch krog.

Wow! This is what we have needed and I like it!
Thumbs up!

It's great that you used my maps, but it's wrong that you used old version of the folsomdam. That one shouldnt even be on circulation anymore.

Also a bit unrelated matter, but you guys still have problems with gui elements in both: lobby and ingame. They overlap eachother and spawn in weird places. Looking forward your progress 8)

looks good! judged by the screen-shot and feature list. :-)

if it really is so easy to create missions though, i guess it would be good to allow rating them (if it does not yet exist). i could imagine lots of people publishing their test missions... then again, this may should be dealt with if it gets a real problem. ;-)

Ratings are supported 8)
You can vote for quality and difficulty. People's ratings appear next to their comments too so comments double as reviews.

Much more efficient, stable, pretty and awesome than the old version of this. Good work.

I'd change the red stars indicating difficulty to something else. They conflict too much with the green stars in ratings. Maybe medals or skulls or bars or just text?

Here's some feedback of what I've seen so far, bear in mind that, on the whole, I love it. Will probably make some missions eventually.

Issues:
  • Window/Panel layout isn't saved
  • Panels like unit lists are a lot smoother when they're set to only show when clicked
  • It's hard to tell which way units are facing without a bit of trial and error
  • List boxes like the widget disable list in Options only show already selected items when an item on the list is clicked
  • The movement controls in the top left corner of the unit placement are redundant for anybody with a mouse with a scroll wheel
  • I'm still not sure what the condition for a timer is as there's metronome and a bunch of counter options. Would be better to just have a "timer" condition
Suggestions
  • Ability to rotate the map (Ingame too if that's at all possible)
  • Ability to choose where on the screen a GUI message will appear (and other elements which can only appear in a set place)
  • Easy way to place a wreck of a unit
  • A function to make the map have the best fit on the screen

other ideas:
- brains
- leave it as starts but change the rating to hearts
- feet (to mirror DDR difficulty ratings)
- a word (Simple, Easy, Normal, Medium, Hard)

is it easy to implement into other lobbys? ;)

It's sure easier than implementing in Zero-K lobby :)

Btw feel free to donate those icon replacements for current stars.
We need each in 3 states - disabled/unset, setting and set..

Awesome, big thanks!
But: Any idea idea what is wrong if I click "Play now" but all that happens is a text displaying "Starting mission Overdrive challenge and Tutorial 0.05 - please wait"?

Is it downloading (would show another bar)? Is spring.exe running? Perhaps it just takes long to start, it happens to me sometimes.

If its not please check help->show diagnostic log for any exceptions.

Ok, sorry, I am too much used to just cancel the login-dialog

Code: Select all

12.11.2010 20:17:30: Unhandled async exception: System.ArgumentNullException: String reference not set to an instance of a String.
Parameter name: s
   at System.Text.Encoding.GetBytes(String s)

   at ZeroKLobby.Notifications.MissionBar.<>c__DisplayClass8.<UserControl_Loaded>b__1()
   at PlasmaShared.Utils.<>c__DisplayClassa.<StartAsync>b__9(Object )
An idiot-proof message box telling newbies like me whats the problem would be nice I think.
