Strangest/Scariest creatures you've seen in person

http://bugguide.net/node/view/2892 -- I was at work today and saw 6 of these little guys (~2mm long) covering/eating some other strange fly/bee/wasp bug I've never seen before. (splattered red blood all over the page it was squished on though)
They really freaked me out because of how small they were, like a tick, except put tiny little scorpion arms on it. I could see their little pincers opening and closing only if I looked really close they were so tiny, lake a baby's hands.
I know you can find all sorts of crazy stuff on the internet, but whats the creepiest you've ever seen personally?

I think they are cute but for some they are the stuff of nightmares.

seen a few coyotes in my life, all of them within the bounds of my city. i think they live in the graveyard and ravine near my home... kinda freaky to see something like this when you're walking home piss drunk in the middle of the night

There's no reason to be afraid of coyotes. I used to have a pet one when i was a small child.
I'm afraid of wasps. Though i'm working on it.

Wasps, unlike scary creatures, do kill people.

badger, was young didn`t knew how dangerous those beasts can be if they have company by young ones.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La9eWGJN ... re=related
when they bite (loads of bacteria on those teeth by the way) they never let go.
Also saw some wild boars (provoced it visiting there slough) but they usually run like hell, and avoid people completely

This is just two young boars, which the older ones of the sounder usually send ahead to scout (they are clever, they know about guns, there range and limits, the old ones never step into a clearing before it doesent smell right and the young have gone ahead)

In Iraq they had these things called camel spiders. Well they aren't really spiders at all, and they have a lot more than 8 legs, and their mouth looks like what the "predator" movie character's mouth is modeled after. They can get about as big as your foot, and for a long time every one said if they bite you your flesh will rot off. Turns out most of their reputation was BS, but they were very alien like creatures and cool to catch and play with.
Apparently since the 2003 invasion there are now pockets of these living in the U.S., out side of airbases mainly.

Elk are pretty dangerous and I've seen them in real-life
Jelly fish are pretty alien looking and can be dangerous to some
I have some neurosis about Wasps that drives me to kill them on sight... the yellow with black stripey kind... I think it has to do with getting stung too many times because I bent my elbow or knee at the wrong time or swatted at what I thought was a mosquito (also, being semi-immune to them means I can kill them with my bare hands which is very gratifying)
Seen hippos and other dangerous things at zoos and stuff...

I think that one of the most freaky looking things that I've ever seen was a horsehair worm coming out of a cricket. This parasite only infects insects during it's larval stage and is an environmentally helpful organism, but it is strange looking.

Haven't really seen one in person, but I have touched one! Does that count?

. Definently strange (not even alive by some definitions) and scary.
