Minimap Death?

I just discovered today that while I was out being somewhere else and not changing anything at all, something has happened that makes my minimap in spring games fail horribly. All shots, nano, etc. are displayed as HUGE WORLD-ENDING BLOBS instead of their former tiny selves. Essentially the moment something happens that makes me want the minimap, it renders itself useless because everything is buried in white and yellow and so on. It happens in BA, SA and CA which is all I have.

I didn't change any settings first (I tried messing with things later, even setting everything to default, then starting over but I couldn't find anything that made a difference) or even update things outside the game. I do have an ATI card (HD 59... something...) and I read that their drivers can be a pain, but I've been using these (10.9 64 bit) for a while now and it only caused problems if I had waves turned on with the water.

Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a way to fix it? I'd settle for not displaying anything but units/structures if that's possible, because those still work. Right now I just have to zoom out into orbit and look for whatever is going on. :|

I have a similar problem. When I play conflict terra, I get a very large dot as my starting unit.Though it goes away after the game starts and dots become normal size.

I have same problem but only in BA. In CA its ok. It's something with opengl state, try disabling some widgets. Happens to me since last driver update.

Yeah that red one, and also "chili" minimap where applicable. I've turned both of these off and I can finally see again!
