Spring RTS Engine

Hello all,

I'm posting this as recommended by a helpful fellow on the chat board. I've only just finished installing Spring for the first time in years, so my recollection on how to get things working is next to nil. After installed TA and the BA mod for spring, I started a Skirmish against the AAI bot on a map called Mini_Speedmetal.smf. As soon as the gamestart timer is up, the game crashes to desktop with a log I'll post below.

My computer specs are: Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Radeon 4890 1gb, 4gb RAM, 3.0GHz AMD Dual Core.

AI needs a config file for the specific mod+version you want to play. for BA, just copy old ones. look at the above mentioned file for details.

RAI and KAIK both do not require config files, and play BA fine. KAIK being the thoughtest of the 3. E323AI also needs config files per mod, and is stronger then KAIK in general.

The crash though, is likely not caused by this. My guess is, that it is sound related, could be GFX too. you may try replacing the OpenAL dll in your spring install with this one:

(make a backup of the current one)
