BSOD appears related to rendered unit counts near 50

Honestly, not really sure how to make the title descriptive because this is a bit of a strange problem.

Recently was able to flush my system clear of a trojan and lots of cleanup activity in the process. After the trojan was finally removed, I needed to update my WDA-552 wireless-N card driver to v1.60 and hardware interrupts went away finally. Everything appeared all better.

Then I try Spring and all of a sudden, after everything ran nice an smooth for months, I now get BSOD without fail if I actually try to play a game. Games load up without problems. Noted some increased AI insta-dead events, but I've been trying new mods anyway.

From what I can tell, I can play 5-40 minutes without a crash. I saw such a range because I've seen it go down after 5 when the enemy units charged an early rush. I realized it was tied more to units appearing when playing a game with water in the way. No problems at all until I sent a radar plane to find out how the bot was holding up on the 1kM/1kE start in an Operation X round. As soon as the plane got eyes on the base, I crashed into BSOD.

Still working through things like graphics level but I wasn't maxed out anyway and thus far does not appear to alter a thing.

Help is appreciated!

@aegis: Let me go crash my system... >.> Will update in a bit.
Update: STOP: 0x0000008E (0x0000004, 0x806ECAE1, 0xA578B918, 0x00000000)

what's the bsod STOP error code (looks like 0x000000FA, but could be other numbers/letters)? does it say anything about a driver like "something.sys"? what does it say in capital letters near the top? (could be something like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION)

Could be some generic system fuckup. I suggest try different (possibly older) graphics and audio drivers and if it still does not help reinstall the OS from scratch.

That wouldn't be possible for me to be quite honest. My graphics drivers are default with my Intel motherboard. Getting an actual video card to handle graphics, instead of leaving them to the integrated chipset might be the solution though. That has to wait on funds though. :|

As far as I know, everything ran fine before the cleaning and driver update, so perhaps, now that I think of it, I can update the Intel graphics drivers too. No reason my computer can't do it, as it already handled Spring just fine.

Update: Didn't get a BSOD, but after the driver upgrade it did last longer, as well as avoid the BSOD, though still demanded a restart and give me a note of what failed. Forgot to write it down though. So back to crashing into walls!
