Audio
Sound Effects are few and far between. What we do have varies from barely audible to deafening. We need sounds for everything and all sounds have to be leveled properly.

Visual
The animation scripts are pretty good in most cases, I am sure there are a few that could use some attention. What we are pushing for in this next release are proper effects for units. Muzzle flashes, rocket exhaust, and visible explosions are needed. Sanada and I both have a very poor understanding of effects and explosions.

Gadgets
SpaceRock Gadget is still a work in progress.
Upgrade Gadget is not adhering to a gird like morph does.

what audio sampels u useing mate????the ota ones???new ones???

here is some advice from the limited knowlage i have about sound engineering:

try using a compressor to controle/tame the dynamics of your sound..then all u gana do then is level the volume

also, if some sounds are a bit 2 over whelming...eq(equalizer) out some extra frequences(the thing about game sounds is that it needs to take up enough frequencies to have some impact on the listener, but not be a hinder to listen to)

also...adding a tiny bit of synthesized reverb makes everything mesh togeter better

We are trying to gather sounds that are GPL or Public Domain.
Worst Case Scenario we make what we can't find.

To fill out the basics for every unit (we plan to eventually have more specialized sounds for things that could benefit from it) we need these:

Torpedo Firing
Torpedo Impact
Flak Firing
Flak Impact
Burst Laser Firing
Burst Laser Impact
Cruiser Chatter
Turret Chatter
Submarine Chatter
Naval Chatter

Chatter being the sound things make when you select them. I was thinking submarine chatter could be the stereotypical sonar bing, but I'm not sure what naval chatter could be. Big battleships don't really make an easily identifiable sound.

Regarding Audio: You've seen this thread ? Licencing seems a bit unclear atm, but otherwise well worth having a look at.
