I cannot register through springlobby or get TASC to work

Just wandering if anybody can help me -
I have tried registering through springlobby but I am repeatedly told a connection couldn't be established with the server?
Chat just says bad username/password but surely I don't have a username/password yet for it to be bad?!
Any pointers would be great- I have wiped and re-installed etc but It keeps on doing this and freezing on me. Is it an issue with my recent update from XP to Vista?

Strangely SpringLobby just decided to start working but I've got to say it doesn't compare to what I remember of TASC -
TASC basically says something along the lines of dev.dll isn't installed? Ring any bells?

I have been having problems with registering in SL lately too, it seems to hang up and then complain that it cannot reach a server... and then ends up registering on test or backup servers, but never on official one.

It wasn't just me having problems then- good :D
I would really appreciate some help getting TASC to work though... the download I got was zipped, and it unzipped multiple parts without any explanation what to do next.
I am completely novice with software so I need things explained that most people here would have known at 5, so don't laugh please!

TASclient is included in spring installer. You just need to check it to install because its not installed by default. So run your spring installer again and remember to check TASclient from lobby section. After that run tasclient.exe and install all the updates required.
Cant help you with the spring lobby issues since im TASclient fanboy...
