Strange performance issue

I am able to load up springlobby and start up a game just fine, but the game runs VERY slowly when a unit is selected. It runs perfectly if there is no unit selected, all action happens as its supposed to, but when a unit is selected, the game staggers around like its had a little horse tranquilizer in its scotch. This baffles me, is anyone able to help?

It might be useful to say which game or mod you're running on Spring, what hardware Spring is running on, and what relevant software is running at the same time.

press B to see what's using the most resources when it happens (highest percentage in the list)

does not help much, no. better do what aegis said, and post an infolog.txt as file attachment or using pastebin.com (can never hurt to have more info).
it might be a gFX (driver) problem, even doh your card should be good enough.

i have a similar issue.
I am using springdownload and have onboard nvidia graphics and 6000+ dual core.
Does it do the same if you select a building to build in the construction menu of a unit?
press alt+b in game and looks fine..............processor never goes above 35%.

This makes me think your graphics driver is the source of the problem
