Spring RTS Engine

(LXGC) Linux Gaming Cabal

Were just a small gaming group that is looking for linux gamers of any kind to join us for a few rounds. Your skill level doesn't matter, were just in it for a good time. We usually play sunday afternoons/nights around 3 PM EST (2000 GMT), but we usually have a few people gaming everyday. We host all our own servers for the games. Can't Spring play windows vs linux just fine?

You have us all wrong.

Firstly we're not a game, we're an engine. There is no game called 'spring'.

Secondly, there is no 'TA Spring'. There is BA, a game based on TA content that uses the spring engine, just as there is XTA or SA or BOTA, but there is no TA Spring....

Really what you've done is taken about 100+ RTS games, and lumped them under a fictional game title.

e.g. If this is TA Spring, then what does this mean for the game Kernel Panic? Is Kernel Panic TA Spring? What about Starwars Imperial Winter?

Just on a sidenote I sometimes (well, at least once) use the term 'TA Spring' to mean TA derived games for Spring.

We host all our own servers for the games.

I don't see the point. At worst you've got to go through the hassle of setting up a server and then discover you don't have enough players, at best you've got the hassle of setting up a server.You could connect to the main server and play a password game if you really can't interact outside the Cabal.

It would be nice if they would run their own lobby server and some dedicated spring servers, so we would have a nice backup, instead of the two we have that are often down when we would need them.

By server, do they mean server, or just battleroom? Having an independant backup server would be cool indeed.

From reading those, I think the sayings are meant to be funny. They probably all know each other pretty well.
