the one thing i hate about the screens is the look of the runway. those lane markings are fking huge! lol

otherwise, it's all very cool! i see that supercarrier i think from the random WIP thread, and i really like the little shielded men in the first picture.

anyways its good to see you're play-testing... very rewarding to have things come together.

got a release plan / date / scheme in mind?

Are the flat-color textures deliberate? If so, I think you need maps that match - the models look terrible with the backdrop of a high-detail, natural looking map.

The models have a nice shape to them, though - I particularly like the tower in the second shot and the fellow with the shield.

But yeah, the runway needs to have a median-line that splits at the beginning, instead of looking like two roads smashed together.

We decided we'll more than likely release after the PN is done and in-game.

And we plan on making maps for the game.

Wow, nice bulk screenshot upload. If I were to upload that many pics of that size on my interwebz it would take more than a day for sure.

sad part is i had about 50 more to go, but imageshack kind of pooped out on me so i just went with what i had. took about an hour or more.

Theme
Visually, we are shooting for units with flat colored panels with out black outlining each panel. Why you might ask? It's quick to do and does not look entirely awful. Story wise, ugh, i'm not a writer, Japan VS the PN, we are eventually going to try to have a meaningful story.

The differences.
No TA-IP... at least to my knowledge. Eventually I want to get away from a heavy reliance on metal maps for resources and replace it with spawned reclaimable features. The simplistic art style is different from a fair amount of the games. KP might has us beat on simple textures though.


When will it be done?
We had thought that we could get it done by mid summer. But now, now i just don't know. I'm pretty illogical and sloppy so the lua front is going poorly. See:

The NKG is for the most part done. It has all of it's units and are mostly balanced. The PN is far from completion. See:

this thread sure takes a while to load and some screenshots are of low quality.
I would propose to remove all but the best pictures.

you finaly found the shadow option that's good the first ones without shadows are ugly

I was specing and turned on xray shaders...

IIRC there is a luacallin for feature rendering? because it would be swank if the outline and xrayshader thing would work on features.
