Spring RTS Engine

dunno how, all of a sudden several keyboard controls aren't working anymore.

f6 to disable sound doesn't work, it shows metal map instead ?

f4 does nothing

f11 doesn't show up widget list

Since i have nothing fancy in my spring folder and all my maps are backed up, i reinstalled spring. But same error

Any Ideas ?

Games can change what keys do what - where you playing a different game then otherwise ?
You might also throw a glance at UIkeys.txt - though I wouldn't know what would mess with them, you should be able to see what keys are set to what there.

(I may ofcourse be missing a recent change in default key layout that this is due to - apologies if that's the case).

yeah i looked into the uikeys and replaced it with the one from the portable archive just to be sure.

But since i uninstalled spring and completely deleted the spring folder, this shouldn't be a prob.

OMG :D I just found out what happened. I accidentally hit a key on my keyboard that assigns the f keys with alternate functions.

After i installed spring in a NEW virtual machine and had the SAME errors there, i had to look somewhere else. Also, keyboard behaved strange with windows commands.

And then i saw that button....

The "Fn" key . Good to hear you worked it out, I'd not thought of that.
